Heritage Bench with Centre Arm and Leg
We build with quality in mind using the following details:
Metal Frames and Finish - our exclusive and contemporary designs are created from precision made molds. Our castings are made from aluminum for maximum strength and non-corrosion. Our metal frames are made mor contoured steel. Metal is powder-coated for a durable, long-lasting, mar-resistant finish and is available in five standard colours: Gloss Black, Park Bench Green, Fence Brown, Dark Blue, and White.
Wood and Finish - our seating is Northern Red Oak, Ipe(pronounced "ee-pay") also known as ironwood, Western Red Cedar, or Honduras Mahogony. Wood slats are sanded with edges having a 12mm radius for maximum comfort. Oak and Cedar are treated with three coats of Sikkens Cetol in choice of three standard colours (what are these?). The Ipe wood is unfinished with the end grain sealed with wax. Mahogany is treated with Sikkens Cetol I. All our wood benches have mortise and tenon construction.
Bolt System - Wood slats are connected to the metal with nickel-plated tamper-proof bolts. All items can be mounted to concrete, paving stones, etc. with anchor bolts.
Miscellaneous - All items are fully assembled. The project name can be cast into our aluminum frame. Memorial plaques can be accomodated on most benches.
